Introduction

Meditation is a way of giving your brain a rest. There are many different reasons for people to want to learn to meditate. However, nowadays the most overriding reason is the need to be more relaxed. Meditation will give you the shortcut to being a relaxed person.

Sometimes people tell me that they have tried meditation, but they can’t switch off. Meditation does not require you to have a ‘switched of’ mind. Often they have been learning meditation methods which are unsuitable for the specific natural way that their brain operates, and it is not the case at all that they can’t become still. Given the appropriate method for you, meditation will let you to be in charge your thinking.

Stress is responsible for many lost working days due to mental and physical illness. It has been scientifically proven that meditation can lower blood pressure, help recovery from illness and prevent illnesses by strengthening the immune system.
